Every trip to Monterrey, Mexico, my hometown is hybrid:
to see my Mom,
my family
and to continue the research regarding the migrant situation in this important city among local faith leaders, including field work.

Nevertheless, first and foremost is to see my Mom, who will be 81 years young in March.

She has been a widow twice.
She has instilled in us a strong faith, work ethic and resilience.

She is still mischievous and active. What a blessing is to be together.

May the Lord help us to honor our mothers the best we can while we still have them.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers!

We have been researching, praying and studying the possibilities to keep serving asylum-seekers in the main Northern city in Mexico, Monterrey, my hometown.

We have thousands of women, children, families and young men stuck here, without any possibility of requesting asylum or going back to their countries of origin.

May the Lord continue to give us his wisdom in how to proceed establishing his kingdom.

Lord, in your mercy,
Hear our prayers

May we embrace the arrival of Jesus and his hope in this new year 2026.

Let us resist the chaos and pain of the world with joy!

Happy New Year from our Family to yours!
