Troubled Designs

Here is another little odd table. It has a flared curve top and curved sides. I have lugged this thing from GA and all around Ky for 11 yrs and decided it needed a makeover so gone is the ugly chipped black, yellow, beige, purple and yes lime green paint…yall there was some many layers of paint on this thing it was unreal! But I was determined and I got it back down to the wood but due to some damage that had to be repair I decided to paint it and yes RED was the winner. Some pretty paper to line the bottom because the inside should shine as much as the outside….here she is.

I love odd furniture because they are the pieces that should really stand out. This little table is an odd one and I love it’s quirkiness. The lady I purchased it from called it a quilting table, the arms fold out and fabric is draped over them so you could embroidery or do hand stitching for a quilt. We stripped away all the old paint, stained the top, painted the body Pumpkin Spice, applied some transfers and protected it with Clear Gloss varnish. She is a pretty little thing.
