It feels hard to breathe. Today is one of those days when anxiety wants to get the better of me.My loyal friend recently told me, “You’re brave.” I laughed out loud. Brave is the last thing I feel. I feel fearful. Anxious.

If Prayers Aren’t Yet Answered, Keep Trusting God “For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you.” Isaiah 30:19 (ESV)

Ministry isn't just reserved for church leaders; if you are helping others whether through a small group, social media, or supporting friends, you are in ministry.
But how can you serve others, lead well, and make a difference without losing yourself or burning out?
Friend, it’s easy to lose yourself in the process of helping those around you.
Maybe you’ve found yourself trying to save or fix people rather than simply helping them, unintentionally blocking their necessary growth.
Maybe you’re battling a craving for external validation, or perhaps you've been overextending yourself until you're completely depleted.
Being a dedicated helper is a beautiful desire, but there are healthy, God-honoring ways to serve without losing yourself in the process.
Join Lysa Terkeurst, Dr. Joel Mudamalle, and Licensed Counselor Jim Cress for this special bonus episode of Therapy and Theology as they discuss the difference between control and care, and why true ministry starts with bowing low before the Lord.
You don’t have to carry the weight of being everyone’s savior, Jesus is the only one who can do that. We can learn to serve out of humility, not exhaustion.
