“LIGHTEN UP” - Letting Go of the Baggage (Burdens) You Were Never Intended to Bear (Psalm 23)
This Sunday, June 4, 2017 - The Burden of GUILT Did you ever get caught with your hand in the proverbial “cookie jar”? Maybe you didn’t get caught. Yet you did feel guilty for what you had done. David, the author of Psalm 23, was a “man after God’s own heart”; however, he made some very poor decisions that brought him tremendous guilt. He understood that God desired to lead him in “paths of righteousness,” but that when he veered from those paths God offered him grace and forgiveness. This week, we will discuss the how our Good Shepherd can help us let go of the bulging suitcase of guilt. “He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” (Psalm 23:3) See you in room D101.

This Sunday, May 14, 2017 – The Burden of DISCONTENTMENT
Casey Williams was a “good sport” in the picture below! To kick-off our current series a couple of Sundays ago, Casey was weighted down with several bags and a backpack you can’t see. We wanted to provide a “picture” of how we may feel with the “baggage” of life? Maybe it’s the briefcase of self-reliance or the trunk of weariness that can burden us down. This Sunday, we will discuss the burden of DISCONTENTMENT in light of Psalm 23 which encourages us that with the Good Shepherd (Jesus) “I shall not want.” See you in D101.
