Hike #12 of 40! with my friend Tina and pups 🫶🏽

This gorgeous wild flower filled prairie was a little over 4 miles. I do wish the ground under the grass has been less volatile, so we could have spent more time looking up than we spent looking down! There were plenty of holes and stumps to trip on or fall into and twist an ankle.
There were clusters of allllll sorts of flowers and it was way too pretty to be real. These photos don’t do it any justice. At. All. It seemed like they formed their own little flower neighborhoods- we’d get to a new area, and either identify or ask each other what are these? You could also smell the difference from one little flower colony to the next. It was wild and I loved it. Also spotted a buck and many deer.

And picked upwards of 100 ticks off ourselves and the dogs (August Hike) but uhm, it’s fine. I’d go back 😁😉Really!
