Great week down in Orlando! We were able to go to the annual International Builders Show. The show floor had many new products to check out, quality education classes were readily available, and we had a great time with fellow MAHB friends.

The sunshine and 80 degrees was a nice added bonus!

Next year’s show is back to Las Vegas.

One of my favorite parts of custom building is when everyone works together toward the same vision—homeowners, builder, and trades alike.

On this project, we had the pleasure of working with an awesome couple, and late in the build they asked if we could incorporate a fire pit overlooking the lake. That’s where Portage Great Scapes really stepped up.

Instead of a generic solution, Aaron Pawlak and his team sourced a massive 1500 lb. sandblasted boulder from out west and turned it into a one-of-a-kind river stone fire pit. The space is inviting, and perfectly framed toward the lake, creating a natural and welcoming entrance into the area. The end result turned out phenomenal.
