Today: Cloudy and some filtered sun south of NYC and humid with moderate to heavy rain NW of NYC. 1-3" of rain possible in some spots in that area and across New England. For areas South of NYC and Del-Marva rounds of scattered thunderstorms with localized heavy rainfall is possible. Flash flooding, gusty winds & lightning will be the highlights. Tornado and hail threat is near zero. If the sun comes out, the temperature will heat up quick

Tuesday: Cool and Cloudy with scattered showers in the morning with heavier rainfall for coastal New England. Early in the afternoon severe thunderstorms will break out across NJ and Pennsylvania. Flash flooding, gusty winds, lightning and a low chance of hail are on the cards. A tornado or two can't be ruled out.

In the evening a large, almost tropical like system will plow through Del-Marva and Southern NJ, containing the same risks I laid out. Flash Flooding is a huge red flag. 2-4" inches of rain could fall south of Ocean County.
