Before you compare someone’s home to your own, remember this:

You don’t know what they’re carrying.

One person may have a supportive partner who shares the workload. Another may be doing everything alone.

One person may have ADHD, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, endometriosis, or another invisible struggle. Another may not.

One family may have an easy routine. Another may be caring for a child with extra needs, working multiple jobs, grieving, or simply trying to make it through the day.

None of those situations make someone lazy. They make them human.

If keeping up with the dishes comes easily for you, that’s wonderful. But that doesn’t mean it will be easy for everyone else.

Instead of asking, “Why can’t they just do it?” maybe ask, “I wonder what they’re carrying.”

A little compassion goes much further than comparison. 💜
