David L. Meade, 71, most recently of Navarre, Ohio, died on November 14, 2025.
He was born on May 24, 1954, in Sandusky, Ohio. He grew up in Castalia, Ohio where he attended Margaretta Local Schools. He was a member of the Class of 1974.
David spent most of his career in public service. He completed the ER Doc Paramedic Training Program at Sandusky’s Providence Hospital. He served several communities as well as a few private ambulance services in Ohio. David was also a former police officer, corrections officer, and firefighter around Ohio.
David spent 20 years as a 4-H advisor for a saddle horse club in Summit County. He spent time helping 4-Hers with their projects. He also helped the Summit County 4-H Saddle Horse Association run their program at the yearly fair and at the summer horse show series.
In recent years, David has shown his resilience while battling health issues.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Laura Jean (Vielhaber) of Navarre; his father, Nelson G. L. Meade of Sandusky; brother, Kenneth (Sharon) of Dahlonega, GA; sister, Susan and brother, Timothy both of Sandusky. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy (Robison) Meade and sister, Ruth Jean Meade.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Heitger Funeral Home - MASSILLON CHAPEL, 639 First St. N.E., Massillon, Ohio from 6 to 8 P.M.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Divine Mercy Parish - St. Mary’s Campus in Massillon at 11 A.M.
Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.

Terry R. Williams, age 83 of Perry Township, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Cleveland Clinic.
He was born July 24, 1942, the son of the late Clifford R. and Nedra (Oliver) Williams.
Terry retired from Timken after 39 years of service where he was manager of engineering and maintenance.
He had a passion for golfing and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Terry is survived by his wife, Beverly (Cherry) Williams; sons, Bennet (Michelle) Williams, Michael (Kim) Williams; sister, Dorothy Porter; grandchildren, Tyler, Nick, Parker, Hannah, Abby, Rachael, Claire; great-grandchild, Raylynn.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Fausnight; brother, Jack Williams.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Heitger Funeral Home, Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, Massillon, at 11 AM.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM.
His final place of rest will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in North Canton.

Barbara J. Taylor, age 78 of Jackson Township passed away November 9, 2025 at her home.
She was born March 5, 1947 in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late Royal and Marion Hewitt.
Barbara was a veteran serving in the Marines serving from 1965 to 1967.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and crafting.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, George F. Taylor; children, Michelle Berry, Michael (Allison) Taylor, Christine Taylor, Mary Taylor; grandchildren, Samantha, Christopher, Victoria; great-grandchildren, Aurora, Gabriel, Eli, Daniel, Caroline, Mahala, and Wyatt.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, George Cole.
A private service will be held by the family.
Her final place of rest will be at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.

38 years young, Samuel Ray Crawford and dog Frankie, left us too soon, October 31, 2025.
Born March 15th, 1987 to Beverly Blazer and Dale Crawford.
Samuel graduated from Massillon High School in 2006 and worked at Nickles Bakery.
He is survived by two sons, Alex and Jesse; ex wives, Amanda and Amy; his grandpa Blazer; Aunt Lynne and Uncle Brad Dutton, Aunt Pat Feemster, Aunts Joanne Bunyan, Kay Woodcock and Debbie (Steve) Hurst, a host of cousins and friends and Mitzi.
There to greet him with open loving arms, great-grandma Vesta, Momaw and Popaw Crawford, Grandma Blazer, Aunt Lou and Gary, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Woody, Aunt Patty and many others.
Son, your hardships and heartbreaks are through. May peace be with you my sweet baby Sam. "No one knows what its like, to be the sad man, behind Blue Eyes".
Cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Heitger Funeral Home - MASSILLON CHAPEL, 639 First St N.E., from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stark County Humane Society.
