Public Hearing Notice

To all interested citizens of the Big Sandy area:
The Big Sandy Area Development District Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living intends
to submit an Area Plan to the Department for Aging and Independent Living to provide services to
the Aged and Disabled population of the Big Sandy Area in Fiscal Year 2026.
The Big Sandy ADD/AAAIL will hold a public hearing prior to the submission of the plan. The
public hearing will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Big Sandy Area
Development District, 110 Resource Court, Prestonsburg, KY 41653 and VIA ZOOM. The zoom
link may be obtained by contacting Stacy Hall at 606-886-2374.
The purpose of this hearing is to inform and obtain views on services provided to the senior and
disabled population of the Big Sandy Area, review proposed activities, review the proposed
application, and solicit public comments.
Comments on Application
A copy of the proposed FY 26 Area Plan will be on file at the Big Sandy Area Development
District for citizens’ review and comment during regular business hours from January 14, 2026,
through January 21, 2026. The plan will also be posted on the BSADD website. Comments on the
proposed application may be submitted to the attention of Stacy Hall until the close of business
on January 21, 2026.
