General automotive repair: oil changes, brakes, exhaust, suspension etc
Relationships... Ahhh, your best friend. You guys go everywhere together...dinner, work, drinks. you usually get along great. Then one day comes and you part ways. You know its only temporary, but you feel like you need to ease back into relationship.
Sigh. your car.
Here's how to have a happy reunion:
Drive the S.O.B. hard, and put it away wet! Cars and trucks are meant to go. Check out Newtons 3 laws(translated)...
- an object in motion tends to stay in motion
- an object at rest tends to stay at rest
- for every action, there is an opposite reaction
Like our bodies, moving and grooving is key to our BFF's health. Especially brakes, who tend to seize up with arthritis when not 'in motion'. Don't forget about our friend the E-Brake...use him occasionally when driving to keep his joints flexible, and happy.
Electrical components were designed to 'stay in motion'. Blower motors, cooling fans, alternators, windows all need to keep moving.
Think of it this way:
Pick a relationship destination, like the State Forest in Plymouth (Hi Kevin!!). Pack a lunch. While driving, work in the brakes, open and close all windows, turn your blower motor on all speeds, vary your speed. Act like its a new car your checking out. Batteries like to charge at varying speeds, and length of run time; help Mr. Battery during his time of need, he knows when he is in the driveway idling for 5 minutes, and he is not going to be happy. A quick note about gas...it doesn't last like it used to, so take advantage of low prices and hit the road!
For every action you take to restore your relationship with your 'significant other', there is an opposite reaction: Everyone is happy again, and doing what is expected of us. A relationship in motion will keep moving forward, as will your car or truck. Lets hope it it only goes in reverse when needed.
Say Hi! to Kevin if you see him down there...

In a continuing effort to help the people in Marshfield during this current crisis, Price Automotive has pledged to donate 10% of all gross sales to the Marshfield Food Pantry. We have partnered with the Daniel Webster Masonic Lodge, who has matched this donation, for a total or $568 presented to Jim Hewitt this morning. Jim came down to Price Auto to receive the two checks, while practicing social distancing of course! Jim reports that the generosity of the community has been amazing.
At Price Automotive, people come first. We've never been about making the "big bucks" at the expense of our neighbors. Similarly, Daniel Webster Lodge upholds the same values with their many programs to assist those in need, including the Laptop Refurbishing Program for kids and seniors, Angel Fund, with a 24 hour turnaround, and High School senior scholarships.
Thanks to all our customers who helped us to help those in need.
