As we celebrate the rich history of Marshfield Schools, we're honored to share this special video featuring former Band Director Dee Lewis.
Mr. Lewis joined Marshfield Schools in 1957 and quickly transformed the band program, creating a thriving summer band tradition that included Saturday evening concerts on the courthouse lawn and performances in the Marshfield Fourth of July parade.
Known by generations of students, he was much more than a music teacher. He inspired students to work together, take pride in their accomplishments, and strive for excellence in all they did.
Though Mr. Lewis is no longer with us, his influence continues to be felt through the countless students, musicians, and community members whose lives he touched.
We invite you to enjoy this look back and celebrate the lasting legacy of a remarkable educator.

Recently, our summer school students spent time exploring Del Massey Park, a special place with a meaningful story. When community member Del Massey passed away, he left his homesite to "the children of Marshfield." Today, the park that bears his name stands as a lasting reminder of his generosity, his belief in young people, and his commitment to our community. He was respected during his lifetime, and his legacy continues to impact generations of Blue Jays.

These students are learning that small acts of service can make a big impact. Recently, Tresa Davis's summer school class helped clean up trash at the Marshfield Fairgrounds and North Park, taking pride in helping keep our community beautiful. The class also visited the new Route 66 gas station, which was installed as part of this year's celebration of the historic highway's anniversary. We love seeing our Blue Jays learning, exploring, and making a difference this summer!

Recently, these high school summer school students participated in the First Impact program, a FREE evidence-based traffic safety course designed to help teen drivers and their parents better understand Missouri’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) law.
Led by trained law enforcement officers and facilitators, students learned about safe driving habits, the risks facing new drivers, and the important role parents play in helping teens develop safe driving skills.
From reading and math to real-world life lessons like driver safety, our students are gaining valuable knowledge and skills every day this summer!
