We just received a document regarding an increase in cyber attacks using COVID-19 as a ploy to get people to download malware. It can be sent as a text message, email, Facebook post or messenger etc. Only click on links you know are from a reputable source. You can hover over the link and view the box to make sure it is not leading you to somewhere else. Some examples are links to data maps, COVID articles, a hospital warning you of contact with an infected person and asking you to print a document and come to the hospital, or even related to the stimulus checks. The IRS will never call you or text or email you, and a hospital will not contact you in this manner. Be smart and careful and please let your friends and family know to be extra cautious as well.
