Now that the sun has finally decided to make an appearance, who is struggling with green water in their pond? We’ve had an influx of calls today with people asking why their pond has turned green over the weekend, so you’re not on your own. An Algae Bloom is a commonly occurring problem in ponds and can often happen overnight in warmer weather and sunny conditions, but the good news is you can get your pond clear again in no time. The best ways to get rid of green water in your pond are -
💡 Change your UV bulb! If you have a UV Filter or UV Clarifier already, you might have forgotten to change your bulb this year. Now is the time to do it!
💧 If you don’t already have a pump and filter set up with a UV Clarifier, you might want to consider one. This is the best way to get rid of green water. You can add an in-line UVC to your existing set up or consider upgrading your filter system to one with a built in UV light already.
