Talking about waterfalls in Yosemite I recently wrote "... You will likely get wet. Exactly how wet you get may or not be directly related to how much fun you are having."

Here's to Olivia and Brennan, married this past weekend in Yosemite, seen here getting soaked in the process and having the time of their lives together.

Currently Yosemite is getting smothered by much needed snow, and (if my phone and email are any sign) everyone's travel plans are changing faster than the chain requirements. Thankfully, as someone that lives here, I can be here to adjust and assist our clients.

Which brings me back to last week when these two good humans reached out for portraits on the last full day of their trip here in Yosemite. While massive crowds had their hopes pinned on catching a glimpse of the we went the other direction and had the park nearly to ourselves. It's good to know where to go and when to be there.

If you've ever had the good fortune to find yourself in a place like Yosemite with no one else around, you know the magic that creates. Wide open spaces, grand vistas, and majestic nature seeming just for you. So why not ignite that magic for their proposal?

Somewhere last night with two excellent humans that are making plans for their together-future. Honestly even I'm slightly amazed we were able to find a place like this all to ourselves on a crowded holiday weekend.

After a whirlwind trip through Colorado to help a friend, it's wonderful to be home in a place I love so much and to be able to share it with good humans like Melissa and Jeremy last night. Even after exploring some of the most beautiful places I've seen (maybe those wedding portraits may see the light of day here), there's just something different about the way the light glances off these rocks and fills this place with warmth. Exploring this place together, their love for each other and amazement of this beautiful valley is a good reminder why I'm so thankful to be able to do what I do.
