Last week, I was slightly disappointed by the attitude of a “wannabe boat captain” on a 52-foot boat that I won’t name. It made me wonder why some people believe that those of us who have invested in higher education and possess more skills can afford to work for $20 per hour in Southern California. Clearly, these individuals need a reality check and should understand that they might not always be employed by wealthy boat owners.

In the meantime, we’ve been extremely busy working on the reselling, installation, and connectivity of Adrena software on four boats: a Tartan 101 in San Francisco, a J/111 in MDR, a Pogo 44 in Redondo Beach, and our Carbon 32.

We’ve also worked on a Brenta 34 and performed additional rigging on other boats. Tomorrow, we’ll be taking care of a Hanse 575 and will also deliver a modified main halyard for the Pogo 44 (spinnaker sheets and other goodies will follow).

Next week, we’ll be sailing the Kerr 33 equipped with its new Madintec autopilot and will also deliver an nke pilot to a Hobie 33.

It’s wonderful to work for boat owners who appreciate our work, follow-up, and professionalism.

Thank you all once again for your trust!

Lastly, Sean (MOD 70) has successfully completed the crossing from California to French Polynesia and holds the record for the fastest solo crossing (9 days and 17 hours). Check out his video, where he’s cruising nearly 35 knots with the Madintec autopilot that we installed last summer. Congratulations!

2024 Newport to Ensenada - we finished 3rd out of 13 in a super competitive fleet of Ultra-light go fast boats!
We were also the only double-handed boat in our fleet, so we feel we did great, for at least 95% of the race.
According to the tracker we ranked 2nd and 1st place most of the way down. Unfortunately, I negotiated a really bad approach in the last 5nm of the race. We sat in almost no wind for what felt hours…
