When we partnered with Cobb County Government to rescue the Power-Jackson cabin, we knew a portion of the logs would be unsalvageable due to years of neglect. Thankfully, skilled craftspeople have hewn replacement logs using many of the same axe and hand-tool techniques utilized centuries ago. The cabin is currently in Tennessee for its initial assembly and fitting. Once it's put together, every log will be tagged, numbered, and transported back home to Cobb County for final reconstruction at Hyde Farm Park. Stay tuned for more updates!
