The Village of Jordan Memorial Day Parade

this is by far the largest parade — and what seemed to be the longest — that I attended on Memorial Day.

The first of the three parades I photographed yesterday took place in the village of Camillus. Making its way through the streets were government officials, local fire companies marching proudly alongside their fire trucks, various high school bands, and community support organizations. Children lined the sidewalks as candy was tossed along the parade route, adding to the excitement and small-town tradition that makes Memorial Day celebrations so memorable.
