Back in the day, we all called him fat Albert, a Navy blimp that was tied down to Key West. It could see over 70 miles on a clear day. It could see Fort Jefferson, Dry Tortugas, and as far as telescopic night vision, it was a Smugglers Nightmare. I can’t imagine the surveillance they have now. Today, Fat Albert is able to see the shores of Cuba and then some. Oh the technology....Have you seen Fat Albert whole visiting the Keys?
