Obsessive Compulsive Divers

I just happened to notice this potentially catastrophic issue on this folding propeller. Notified the owner and he had me pull the prop and extract the broken retaining bolt. It kind of baffles me that this part was actually painted over, meaning somebody saw the issue but just ignored it. 🤦‍♂️
