The countdown is on…

Disappointing end to the season for these boys but BOY were they fun to watch. I truly don’t think there is a more fun loving group of baseball boys. I had the joy of photographing not only all season long, but for some of these boys for years (literally a few of them for TEN years). As twelve of these boys go onto the next chapter, I know they are going to do all the big things!!

I can’t believe I haven’t posted from this gem of a session a few weeks ago. I’m not sure anyone could be around this guy for more than a few minutes at a time, without laughing. His sense of humor is unmatched. Drew is another client that I’ve had the pleasure of watching grow up over the last 10 or 11 years. I feel truly lucky to get to document these milestones!!

As I am working on my last session, it occurred to me that over the next month all of my 2026ers will cross that stage and step into their next chapter of life. This year is hitting a little harder than I expected it to.

I first met Steven when he was 4 or 5 on one of my kiddo’s tee ball team. And now he’s headed off to college in the fall. Don’t blink because time flies. I’m sure his mama would agree.

Sports photography is one of my favorite genres in my wheelhouse. And the one I showcase the least. Every picture tells a story. Some stories are subtle. Some are more dramatic, like this one. But they all invoke a feeling. Also, he was safe.
