When a child doesn’t look like the rest of the family, people notice.

Sometimes families answer uncomfortable questions with jokes. Sometimes with myths. Sometimes they’re dismissive. Usually, they offer anything except the truth.

For Lauren LoGiudice the explanations ranged from an old family photo… to Vikings… to the mailman.
