May is Better Hearing and Speech Month and we get to celebrate our incredible Speech-Language Pathologists!! Michelle and Abby are the best of the best and we are so grateful to have them as a part of our team! Thank you both for sharing your expertise and positive energy with our clinic! We are so lucky to have you both.

What is a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist(SLP)? We are sometimes called "Speech Therapists" but we do much more than speech! We diagnose and treat children with communication, feeding and swallowing difficulties. Did you know communication begins at birth?! Babies communicate through sounds, facial expressions, and body movement! In our clinic, it is our job to make sure our youngest friends are developing in their understanding and use of verbal and nonverbal language to communicate. We also help to identify potential issues with their feeding skills, such as difficulty advancing textures or problems with sucking, and make referrals for feeding therapy.

April is OT month! Join us in celebrating our amazing occupational therapists: Emily, Allison and Taylor. They bring excitement and energy to our clinic every week!!

What is a pediatric occupational therapist? A professional who promotes independence in daily activities, or “occupations,” such as reaching developmental milestones, play, self-care, academic tasks, and socializing. OTs put the fun in function!

Born nearly 10 weeks prematurely and now graduating from NICU follow-up clinic! We are so proud of how strong and resilient you are! Go change this world, little man!

This is what it looks like to graduate from clinic at 2 years old! There’s no time to pose for photos when you’re on a mission to change the world! We are excited to see all that you two accomplish in the years to come, because the amount you’ve already accomplished in 2 years is more than many achieve in a lifetime! Stay strong, sweet girls!
