Future JAG Corps Officer Kelsey Frizell ’26 Ready for Her Next Adventure Kelsey Frizell, a West Point alum who will soon graduate from the University of Virginia School of Law, is heading to Alaska to continue her military career as a lawyer with the Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps.

Congratulations to the 2026 Crimson Way Legacy Award recipient, Rev. Angela (Busch) Denker!

Angela was a three-sport Crimson athlete in volleyball, basketball, and track & field; she was also editor-in-chief of the newspaper and vice president of NHS. In her senior year, Angela received the senior superlative: Most Likely to Become President!

Since commencing from Maple Grove, she has become an award-winning author, ELCA Lutheran pastor, and veteran journalist. Her first book was a 2019 Silver Foreword Indies award-winner. Her second was published just last year, and she is hard at work on new projects, as well. She is a former columnist for the Minnesota Star Tribune and has also written for Sports Illustrated, the Washington Post, and FORTUNE magazine, and has appeared on CNN, BBC, SkyNews, and NPR.

Joining her to receive the award were her husband, Ben, her two sons, Jake and Josh, and her father, Rick.
