SCAM E-MAIL ALERT: Yesterday, July 14, 2026, the City launched a Vendor Interest Form for businesses and organizations interested in participating in future City events. Joining the list is completely FREE. The City of Manvel will NEVER ask you to pay to be added to or remain on this list. If you receive an email, message, or phone call claiming to represent the City and requesting payment for vendor registration, do NOT send money. These messages are NOT from the City of Manvel.

If a specific City event has a vendor participation fee, it will only be communicated through official City of Manvel channels as part of that event's registration process.

If you ever have questions about a vendor opportunity, please contact the City directly before providing payment or personal information.

Roadway back open as of 2PM

The northbound lane of Meridian Parkway is currently closed due to flooding between Jordan and South Inspiration Way.

The contractor responsible for the drainage in the area is on scene and actively working to clear the water from the roadway.

Please avoid the area if possible and use an alternate route until the roadway is safe to reopen.

🚧 Traffic Alert 🚧

One eastbound lane of Morris Ave at the Morris/SH 288 South intersection will be temporarily shut down due to an excessive amount of concrete spill in the roadway.

TxDOT has been notified and crews are expected to arrive in approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to address the issue.

Please use caution in the area and expect possible delays.

Active Law Enforcement Presence – 21600 Block of SH 288

The Manvel Police Department is currently investigating an incident in the area of the 21600 block of State Highway 288. Officers and investigators remain on scene as the investigation continues.

At this time, there is no danger to the public. We ask motorists to avoid the area if possible and expect the continued presence of emergency personnel while the scene is processed.

Out of respect for those involved and the integrity of the ongoing investigation, no additional information will be released at this time.
