Rage Against The Machine 'Evil Empire" came out thirty years ago on April 16, 1996! One of the songs, "Tire Me", won a Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance". That just continues to show how out of touch the Grammy people are with metal music, perhaps? Anyway, "Bulls on Parade" and "People of the Sun" have also been nominated Grammy awards. Both of those songs are on 'Evil Empire'. In 2000 'Evil Empire' was awarded the Platinum Album status, after selling one million plus units!

Personally, I really like this album. One of the albums I latched onto, when I was starting out with playing guitar, around that time. It's a fun album. Zach De La Rocha sounds angry on this album. Maybe he was? Maybe he's an angry man? And perhaps that's why the rest of the band don't want to work with them? That's probably for another conversation?
