Howard C. Miller, DPM

Well, after 50 years being a podiatrist, Dr. Miller is retiring. Dr. Miller graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine on May 12, 1975. He started his career in Livermore for a few years and then made his way to Manteca, where he's been for almost 50 years. This is a decision he's not taken lightly. It's been very hard for him to decide to step away from the people and practice he loves. It's been hard for me as well to come to terms with this as l've worked here since I was 16 years old. I grew up here and l've watched my kids grow up here at the office. I'm very excited for my dad. He definitely deserves to retire, but it's also very bittersweet. This was a decision I feel he and my mom should have made together, but we're grateful that my mom is here, whether or not she fully grasps what is happening. I'm really looking forward to having a taxi to take my kids everywhere so that I can sleep in in the mornings. lol. I love my dad so damn much. Talking to patients today and telling them the news, watching them actually cry, made me cry. My dad is a dad like no other and he's a doctor like no other. The joy he brings to people and the compliments they say about him are all true. He truly loves people and he loves what he does and people tell me all the time they've never met a doctor like him. And though closing the doors and locking them for the last time on December 31, 2025 is going to be such a hard day for me and my dad and saying goodbye to the office and what's been our life for so long is incredibly hard, my dad deserves it. I'm grateful for the opportunity that I've had working side-by-side with him for the last 28 years. I love you so much, Dad. Thank you for giving me this opportunity. Love always, KJ
