Principal Erika Jackson joined two incredible Perry educators — retiring Pre-K teacher Liz Luu and Perry’s Teacher of the Year, Taffiney Simmons — for a special evening of celebration and recognition. ❤️

Mrs. Luu has poured so much love, patience, and dedication into generations of little learners, and her impact on Perry will never be forgotten. We wish her nothing but joy in retirement! 🌸

Mrs. Simmons continues to represent the very best of Perry through her passion, creativity, and commitment to students each and every day. Being named Teacher of the Year is so well deserved! ⭐

Perry is blessed with amazing educators who make a difference far beyond the classroom walls.

Each day brings a fun way for students and families to show their appreciation. Participation is completely optional—simple, thoughtful gestures mean the most!

Here’s a quick look at the week:

⭐ Monday – Kick-Off: Dress Like a Star
Bring a card, note, or drawing to show your appreciation.

🍎 Tuesday – Flowers for the Stars
Bring your teacher a single flower (real, artificial, or even a drawing).

🎬 Wednesday – Snack Like a Star + Hollywood Colors Day
Wear black, gold, red, or white and bring your teacher’s favorite snack, drink, or classroom supplies.

✍️ Thursday – Autograph Day: Red Carpet Ready
Dress your best and bring pens, markers, or office supplies your teacher can use.

🍿 Friday – VIP Finale: Pajama & Movie Day
Wear pajamas or comfy clothes and consider sending a small gift, gift card, or heartfelt note to end the week strong.
