We recently had the pleasure of delivering our Swiftwater Rescue 1 course to the Hitchita Volunteer Fire Department and other local departments. Over the course of two days, these students demonstrated exceptional dedication and perseverance. We look forward to welcoming them back in the future to further their rescue education and training.

🚨 Turn Around, Don’t Drown – It’s Not Just a Slogan, It’s a Lifesaving Decision 🚨

Our hearts go out to the families impacted by the recent flooding tragedies across Oklahoma. In Moore, two lives were tragically lost after being swept away in floodwaters, and in Bixby, two more remain missing. These heartbreaking events are stark reminders of just how dangerous moving water can be.

At TECH RESQ, we train first responders to deal with water rescues, and we can tell you—just 6 inches of moving water can knock a person off their feet, and 12 inches can carry away most vehicles. It happens faster than you think, and once it starts, the current is unforgiving.

We urge everyone: Do not drive into flooded roadways. Do not try to walk through moving water. Do not take the risk.
