Key Takeaways from the Crop Report:

USDA lowered U.S. corn and soybean yield projections slightly from August, but both remain at record levels.

2025 corn yield projected at 186.7 bushels/acre, up significantly from 2024.

2025 soybean yield projected at 53.5 bushels/acre, also at a record high.

Minnesota corn yield estimated at 199 bushels/acre and soybeans at 53 bushels/acre — both very strong statewide averages.

Highlights from the WASDE Report:

U.S. corn production estimated at a record 16.8 billion bushels (+13% from 2024).

Corn ending stocks for 2025-26 projected at 2.11 billion bushels, putting pressure on prices.

Average on-farm corn price estimated at $3.90/bu; soybeans at $10.00/bu for 2025-26.
