We visited to begin the project of bringing this legend of the Subaru community back to life. Coined “Sonic” by its previous owner, it’s gotta go fast.

In the past, this was an 8-second drag car. Its new owner, Marcus, brought it down to Rick & his team at DRP in Green Cove Springs, Florida with the goal of achieving those 8-second passes again. Rick and his team are no strangers to 8-second Subarus, as their old drag car Patriot was consistently in the mid-8s.

I was tasked with the wiring & electronics package. After sitting down and coming up with a plan with the team, I believe we have a really solid plan and will be using some of the best gear on the market to meet and exceed Marcus’ expectations and aspirations.

Over the next couple of months we will be working on this alongside the rest of the projects we have in-house and abroad. I’m very grateful to have a busy summer.
