Most guitar players learn the 5 pentatonic positions as separate boxes.
That’s usually why moving around the neck still feels disconnected.

Instead, take one simple phrase and play it through every position.
Now you’re not just memorizing shapes, you’re learning how the same musical idea lives across the entire fretboard.

In this example, I’m using A minor pentatonic and repeating one phrase through all five positions.

The goal isn’t to play more notes. It’s to stop feeling trapped in one box and start seeing the neck as one connected instrument.

I had an idea with my friend (also named Andrew) to create a show where we both came together and made something entirely unique with my original music.

Luckily enough we were both on Koh Phangan and was more than willing to offer us their space for the experiment.

Turns out it was a huge success and it showed me a new door to playing my own music that I never saw before.

Let’s see where this leads us, to opening new doors.
