I don’t know how many friends I have in Taiwan, but I hope after this week, there will be more!!
I am so excited to be making my debut with the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra this Friday, 25th April at 19:30, at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts. we are diving straight into one of the most sparkling, irresistible concertos such as Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G.
And the following afternoon, 26th April, I’ll be sharing stage with soloists of KSO , there will be Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet and Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor in our menu. Two of his most intimate and shattering masterpieces.
What many people don’t know is that I am actually a graduate of the Shostakovich Music School in Moscow. His music was quite literally the first music I ever studied seriously — I think my first experience of the Quintet goes back to around 1996. Unbelievable. In a way, every time I return to Shostakovich, I am returning to the very beginning of everything.

First ever trip with two kids + small US tour: mission (almost) accomplished.

Then — Salt Lake City for a very special performance as part of the 50th anniversary of the Gina Bachauer Piano Competition (won by back in 2010).

So… two parents on stage / two kids backstage.

Big News:
I am deeply honored to be appointed Artist-in-Residence with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for the 2026–2027 season.

This residency will include three perormances in collaboration with Nathalie Stutzmann, featuring some of the most profound works of the piano repertoire: Brahms’s Concerto No. 2, Schumann’s Piano Concerto, and Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.
I am truly grateful for this invitation and look forward to this inspiring musical journey!
