Pershing Rifles Company G-7

Officially en route to NATCON!
Stopping at Ft. Knox tonight and finishing the drive to Myrtle Beach tomorrow.

EVENT: Sept. 14, 2019, "Pershing Days" will be hosted in Laclede, Missouri. All alumni and friends are welcome to join! Pershing Rifles Company G-7 (Kansas State University) and Pershing's Own Company A-2 (University of Nebraska-Lincoln) will be participating in the parade honoring the National Society of Pershing Rifles 125th Anniversary.

The National Society of Pershing Rifles began in 1891 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) as “Company A” by then Lieutenant John J. Pershing. In 1894, upon Pershing's departure from UNL, the group was renamed "Pershing Rifles" and established as a fraternal organization devoted to military drill and leadership excellence. 125 years later, the Society has over 50 companies across the nation. Pershing Rifles continues to thrive and holds true to the values that General Pershing set out to instill in his cadets many years ago.

Company G-7 did outstanding in today's drill competition. Taking home a 2nd place Armed Solo, 3rd place Unarmed Regulation, 2nd place Armed Regulation, 2nd place Armed Exhibition (2 years in a row), and 3rd place Overall!!! Congrats to everyone!
Also a little comparison over the past two years. From only bringing 5 Riflemen back in 2017 to being 17 strong this year, more than tripling our numbers! Excited to see what next year brings!!

Just before Spring Break, G7 held another Silent Guard honoring one of the 48 fallen K-State Students in WWI. We came back from break with Rifleman Spencer Weiser representing the event on the front page of the Manhattan Mercury!!
