Nobody’s Coming to Say Yes

For the longest time, I kept waiting.

Waiting for someone to tell me I was ready.
Waiting for a sign it was the right move.
Waiting for approval that never came.

I even did this with my own writing. For years, I had the dream of publishing children’s books and starting on KDP. But I told myself I wasn’t ready. I convinced myself I needed more research, more skills, more time.

The truth is, I was waiting for permission.

And one day it hit me: no one was coming to give it.

There’s no approval stamp.
No green light.
No magical nod that says, “Okay, now you’re allowed.”

The only permission that matters is the one you give yourself.

Because while I was waiting, others were creating.
They were learning on the fly, improving as they went, building momentum.

So I stopped waiting.
I published.
I learned through the process.
And keep on I figuring things out step by step.

If you’ve been waiting for someone to say yes, this is your reminder: it has to come from you.

Edit:

What’s something you’ve been waiting to “get permission” for that you could actually start today?
