How to increase efficiency of your recruitment?
Usually hiring process takes 20-50 days, here are some tips to make it faster.

1. Always keep your eye on the funnel and analyze it. It is a source of information what blocks your progress.

2. Automate all routine tasks - don't be afraid to invest into sourcing tools, plug-ins, ATS.

3. Make sure that selection and evaluation criteria are fair and clear for every interviewer before the interview begins.
I will talk to several candidates and then decide which experience is more suitable - does not work anymore.

Do you count the losses caused by ineffective recruiting processes?

Some managers think that only the recruiter's salary or the commission of the agency is the company's expenses, but in fact it is not so at all. When the recruiting process is ineffective, the loss is much greater, but not always obvious.
How to define the losses? I'm gonna list two categories below.

1. Time spent by the company owner, hiring manager and interviewing team.
Even if it seems that you have wasted several hours due to inefficient processes and wrong approaches, and it does not seem to have much impact on your company. But it has.
Time the company owner could have spent strategizing for growth and increasing profits, time the hiring manager could have come up with a better solution for the project, time the team could have spent getting things done more efficiently, all of this slows down the revenue growth of the whole company.

2. Lost profit due to a damaged reputation.
This is usually never considered as a loss by any company.
However, this is a mistake.
Why?
The time spent by candidates on a bunch of unnecessary interviews, assignments that did not make any sense, moreover, were not paid, poor communication with the team - all these make an impact on your reputation that costs money in the future. A reputation that is easy to spoil and difficult to restore. You spend an additional amount of money on marketing, advertising, search, new positioning, which could be spent much more effectively, having a good reputation and brand. Make it so that even the candidates you rejected tell everyone what a cool company you have despite the rejection and you don't have to spend that extra money.

How to fail the hiring process

Let's talk about the major gaps that affects your recruitment.
1. No clear strategy for the company's development
If you don't know where your company is going, how it should scale, what its mission is, you'll be stuck in one place, wasting resources and time for hiring.
It would seem obvious and simple.
Why do companies ignore this?
Weak leadership and lack of competence is the reason.

2. Considering the recruiting as the easiest job
Company owners often underestimate the importance of recruiting and its impact on company revenue.
The main resource is people, having right people on board helps to increase the revenue.
Another obvious fact.
But how to bring that right talent to the company?
That can be done by building up the successful hiring strategy.
Can that be done by graduates or those who has no relevant experience?
Obviously, not.
Cutting costs for recruiting will lead to eternal searching or finding people who won't be able to grow your business.

3. Underestimating the importance of the company's reputation on the labor market
The employer brand is something that the majority of companies do not deal with at all, because there is a belief that they will have a queue of candidates who want to work for them.
But let's be honest, if you're not Google, Apple, or Tesla in your industry, chances are so low.
More than 70% of potential candidates haven't even heard about you.
Another 25% heard something bad, and maybe 5% heard something good.
Do you think this is not true?
