Happy 3:16 day! ๐๐ผ๐ https://bit.ly/3AV1djf
Dear Friends,
We hope everyone had a great Christmas, New Year and holiday season.
The past few months have been ones of reflection and we have been evaluating what we want to do with Scrap Dat. In September we had very little number of registrations. That low number, along with Covid and the after affects of Ida which made the Castine Center unavailable for us, we had to cancel our September event. That basically showed us the writing on the wall. Sadly, we have decided to close down Scrap Dat.
It has been a fun event for us and hopefully for you all as well. We have had some great times. Looking at those positive things, however, cannot sustain us. Our numbers keep getting lower. Our vendors are pulling out because they feel we donโt have enough shoppers or the spending from the attendees they need to have in order to justify vending at the event. The months leading up to an event require a great number of hours of planning, prep, purchasing, designing, marketing and accounting for us. The timing of the crop in March also presents conflict in our personal life.
So, it is with great sadness that we have decided that Scrap Dat will come to its end. We want to thank all our loyal croppers who supported us every event. We love you and hope we can join you in future events elsewhere.
Thanks for the memories.
Datโs a wrap.
Sincerely,
Beth and Christine
