I always welcome the opportunity to train small dogs!

Lila was exhibiting some challenging reactivity behaviors that were going to make it impossible for her to fully participate in life with her family.

She is so fun with people but worries about dogs and had a strong desire to explode with barking and lunging both at people and dogs.



She had been sequestered from other dogs in her puppy class and that most certainly did not solve the problem!

I love when owners have clear goals and are willing to put in the effort! We have been getting wonderful work done with Lila and I look forward to seeing her continue to make progress.

You probably don’t need your dog to retrieve 🦆. But you probably do need assistance with developing teamwork, solving problems, enhancing cooperation, and building a more fun and harmonious life with your dog.

My extracurricular activities with my own dogs-Obedience, Rally Obedience, therapy work, and retriever hunt tests-have helped to shape my approach to pet dog training. A trainer’s experience training to a standard and being evaluated by judges does matter.

When selecting a trainer, consider their personal dogs. Do you admire their training? Do you feel good about the trainer’s relationship with her own dogs and client dogs? Are the dogs well kept? Has the trainer demonstrated competency at the craft, in judged scenarios as well as with clients who share similar challenges and goals to yours?

Depth and breadth of experience matter. Do a little homework when investing in a training program.

My crew enjoyed making this reel! Quinn and Callie had their first experience with a whole duck and Nyx and Logan were thrilled to get some retrieves.
