As we celebrate this holiday with family gatherings and community events, let us also take a moment to reflect on the meaning of Independence Day — a time to honor the founding of our nation, the freedoms we enjoy, and the sacrifices made by so many to protect those liberties.

Please welcome our two newest Public Safety Dispatchers, who started with Manchester PD this week!

We are excited to welcome Nemesis Serrano (left) and Yanique Wright (right) to the Manchester Police Department and the Manchester community. Both will begin an intensive 16-week field training program in our Communications Center as they prepare for this critical role.

Public Safety Dispatchers are the vital link between our community and first responders. They are often the first voice people hear in an emergency, gathering crucial information, coordinating resources, and helping ensure police, fire, and EMS personnel can respond quickly and safely when every second counts.

We wish Nemesis and Yanique success as they begin their training and look forward to the important contributions they will make in serving our community. Welcome to the team!
