Maple Street School

🐟🌿 Last week, our 5th graders wrapped up their Trout in the Classroom project with a perfect spring afternoon along Munson Brook. After spending months raising brook trout from eggs in their classroom aquarium and learning about life cycles, water quality, and Vermont ecosystems, students released their trout into the brook with the help of their 7th grade mentors and cheering on from their 1st grade buddies.

There was science, teamwork, time outdoors, cookies, cake, and plenty of smiles along the way. A wonderful reminder of how hands-on learning helps students build curiosity, responsibility, and connection to the natural world right here at Maple Street. 💧🐟🍪🌱
