What a sendoff! Thank you to everyone for coming by this past week. It was so wholesome to see familiar faces from over the years and to hear your stories of your fondest memories at Monkey King Tea over the past decade. Thank you everyone for your kind messages and kind words, orders and gifts. ♥️ (Let us know if you still need a Crew Neck or Hoodie. We plan on having more merch for the holidays.)

The time has come for us to pass on the torch to the next new small business coming in. The new owners are excited to share their foods and drinks with you all. Head over to for more updates on menu offerings and official opening date! Give them a follow and say Monkey King sent you. 😉

**BREAKING NEWS (update as of 10/18): The time has come … the end of an era … our last day of service will be Saturday, 10/26/2024. We know this is sudden and wish that it wasn’t as abrupt as it has turned out to be. We hope to see you at Monkey King Tea one last time before then. Thank you for all the memories, MKT fans! I’ll leave a notebook or sticky notes out at the store if you want to leave us any messages with your fave mems at MKT - we’d love to hear them. Over the next few days (weeks 😆), we’re going to take you back in time with us to celebrate our 10 YEARS! Some specials will be announced at the end of our anniversary posts.

2020: 2020 sucked. There I said it. We were so amped to reopen with a newly trained team and barely a month later COVID hit. Everything shut down. When there was a silver lining, we started serving takeout from our window (no indoor dining), but things were not the same. Even after things did go back to “normal” we never had the big grand reopening we had planned. Like many, we experienced loss 🕊️ that year and one very special person who taught us to chase dreams, do things the right way, always celebrate holidays with loved ones and have some fun & laughs along the way. We received some of the best notes from our MKT fans - you made us feel warm & fuzzy and kept us laughing.
