🚨 TROPICAL STORM ALERT: CARNIVAL & ROYAL CARIBBEAN SHIPS IN THE CROSSHAIRS

A developing storm in the Gulf just got the National Hurricane Center's attention — and it's on a collision course with two of the busiest cruise ports in America.

Tropical Depression Two formed this weekend and is expected to strengthen into Tropical Storm Bertha within days. Right now it's crawling north at a sluggish 1 mph, which sounds harmless… until you remember slow-moving storms are the ones that dump the most rain and cause the most chaos.

New Orleans and Galveston are both in the potential path. Carnival Breeze is set to sail out of Galveston Thursday. And by Saturday, THREE ships — Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Dream, and Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas — are all scheduled to be in port at the same time the storm could be closing in.

No official itinerary changes yet. But if you've cruised through hurricane season before, you know "no changes yet" can flip fast.

Got a Gulf cruise coming up this week? Are you Team "cruise lines always figure it out" or Team "I'm refreshing my email every 5 minutes"? 👇

Had to go to Arkansas for a funeral (I know, not a fun thing), but we needed a place to stay after. We stayed at Hotel O Eureka Springs - Christ of Ozark Area. The room itself was nice and very, very cold (much appreciated). Took forever for the shower to get hot though. And took about 15 minutes for someone to come let us in outlook the next morning after breakfast because our keycard wasn’t working. But overall it was a nice stay.
For dinner on Friday night after the funeral, my husband and I at in Eureka Springs at mcgaritysirishpub. The food was wonderful. The atmosphere was fun and energetic and the waitstaff was amazing. We will definitely eat there again if we make it back to the area. I had gumbo which was delicious and he had the largest chicken fried steak either of us had ever seen. Oh and we had beer cheese dip and pretzels for an appetizer. So good.
