Y'all, this one is for the North Alabama families looking for a genuinely fun (and genuinely affordable) summer night out... the Kiddie Carnival in Athens is back and running through July! 💜

Free admission, rides for just 50 cents each, and a full concession stand with hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fries, french fries, funnel cakes, sno cones, popcorn, Coke products and more. It's the kind of evening that feels like summer is supposed to feel.

The rides are sized perfectly for the little ones so best for ages 2-10, though younger kids ride too. (No adult riders on the rides except standing beside your child on the carousel, so this one is truly for the kids.) And the whole thing is run entirely by Lions Club volunteers who work their regular jobs and then show up on weekends to make this happen for the community. That kind of dedication deserves a visit.

*A couple of things to know before you head out* it's cash only and doors open at 6:30pm. Free parking is right across the street at the school campus, so that's one less thing to think about.
