What better way to take your study breaks than under the Eiffel Tower? This could be your life next spring on the UW in Paris program! 🇫🇷

Swipe to see what life is like in Paris thanks to Brett B. (), strategic communication major 🦡

💭"I would recommend studying abroad in Paris to everyone. It’s a beautiful, lively, and unique city with something for everyone. Studying abroad taught me a lot about independence, flexibility, and seeing the world from a broader perspective. It also gave me more confidence in my ability to lead and navigate situations on my own, both academically and professionally.

One of the biggest takeaways from this experience was learning to appreciate a slower lifestyle. In Paris, I’ve noticed a lot of people take time to enjoy long lunches, coffee at cafés, and meaningful time with friends, which made me realize how valuable it is to slow down and enjoy everyday moments. It also gave me the opportunity to learn more about different cultures and ways of life." - Brett B.

2. Brett took a Business of Fashion in France class where he learned about the business of the fashion industry and different French designers and brands. One day, he visited the Alaia and Christian Dior exhibition for class to see a collection of looks from the two fashion houses over the decades.
3. Brett and his friend having a picnic at Montmartre.
4. One of Brett's favorite streets in Paris was lined with restaurants and featured a view of the Eiffel Tower at the end!

Meet one of our current who's gaining professional experience on an international internship!

🦡 Lin Chung, sophomore

Majors: Information Science & Consumer Behavior Marketplace Studies

Study Abroad Program: AIP Internship in Seoul

Lin will be taking over the Instagram stories this Thursday, July 16, from South Korea! 🇰🇷

💬 "One of my main goals for this program is to expand my understanding of sustainable fashion in a real-world, global context. I want to see how sustainability is actually implemented in design and business decisions, not just talked about, and bring that perspective into my own future work.

"I chose the AIP Internship in Seoul because I wanted to challenge myself in a fast-paced, global environment that is known for its influence in fashion, marketing, and design. Seoul’s creativity and innovation really stand out to me, and I’m excited to learn directly from that energy.

"I’m especially looking forward to learning more about Seoul as a city. I’m excited to experience how tradition and modern ideas come together in everyday life, and to see how that influence shows up everywhere, from the fashion industry to the places I explore day to day."
