Novedad Editorial!
New publication!
The relationship between the Andean communities and their deities, as well as the expressions of their religiosity are the focus of this extraordinary study by Renata Mayer and Luis Millones, which has been the product of decades of ethnographic work in several regions of Peru. This book pays particular attention to the Pacha Mama, a deity venerated by the hatun runa (common person) in the Andes. The power to punish and regulate behaviors that both the Pacha Mama and other deities associated with her have, makes her one of the most complex deities in the Andean world to this day.
