Spring Planting is right around the corner and there will more tractors and farm equipment on the roadways. The Sheriff's Office would like to remind everyone to be attentive for and exercise patience with slow moving farm vehicles.

It is illegal to pass an implement of husbandry or agricultural commercial motor vehicle in a no passing zone. Fines for passing in a no passing zone start at $213.10 and 3 demerit points, and increase to $326.50 and 3 demerit points for passing in a no passing on a hill or curve.

Please pass only when it is legal and safe to do so. Keep in mind farm vehicles may be turning left into driveways, fields, or other roadways. Cooperation and patience between farmers and motorists will keep our roads safe!
