As we reflect on this year’s WWN Policy Institute experience, we’re excited to look back at Retreat 2, a weekend focused on advocacy, leadership, and collaboration. Cohort 12 continued building the skills and confidence needed to advocate for meaningful change across Wisconsin.

A huge thank you to our incredible speakers and facilitators who shared their expertise throughout the weekend:
• Sarah Barry — Effective meetings with legislators
• Gwyn Guenther — Preparing for policy discussions and public questions
• Bianca Shaw — Building collective power through advocacy
• Lynnsey Erickson — Equitable policy analysis
• Sarah Hoye and Katie Grant — Elevating your voice and communicating effectively as an advocate

Throughout the retreat, participants delivered elevator speeches on their policy projects, built connections through speed networking, collaborated in teams, and prepared for legislative visits. Their passion, curiosity, and commitment to learning continued to shine throughout the weekend.

And a special shoutout to The Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company for hosting our Friday evening social gathering. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, reflect, and continue building community outside of the retreat sessions.

We’re so proud of all that Cohort 12 accomplished during Retreat 2! 💜
