POV: Your food scale has seen more of your life than some of your friends. πŸ“πŸ¦

No, you don't need a food scale to be healthy.

But if your goal is learning portion sizes, dialing in your macros, or taking the guesswork out of nutrition, it's one of the most useful tools you can own.

Think of it like training wheelsβ€”
it helps build awareness. The goal isn't to weigh every bite forever, it's to learn what fueling your body actually looks like.

πŸ“ Measure to learn, not to obsess.

From coach to client, we're in this together. πŸ’ͺ

You, your goals, me... and my feral child. πŸ˜‚

No need to apologize if you have to step away to parent. (or I do) We've got this. Progress over perfection. ❀️

So I may have completely lost my sense of style, but I am ready to get down on the floor and play with dinos! πŸ˜…

Real life means less than "perfect" nutrition choices. Sometimes it's 100%, other days our goals are the last thing on our priority list and that's okay.
Drink some water, get some protein in and give yourself some grace.

The highlight reels are fun, but this is what most days actually look like.

If you're in a season where life feels busy, messy, and a little chaotic, you're not alone.

A reminder that you don't need perfect conditions to prioritize your health. The small things count, and consistency beats perfection every time.

The fitness industry often acts like you have to pick a side: train for aesthetics or train for function.
The reality? Most women benefit from both.
Wanting visible muscle definition doesn't make you vain. Wanting to move better doesn't mean you don't care how you look.
My goal as a coach is to help moms build strength that shows up everywhere, at the gym, at the playground, carrying a sleeping toddler, and yes, in the mirror too.
Strong is functional. Strong is beautiful. πŸ’ͺπŸ’•

a coach, I believe in improving your health, building strength, and feeling your best.
I also believe you don't have to earn the right to enjoy summer.
Wear the damn swimsuit.
Your body is allowed to take up space at the beach. Your body is allowed to be seen. Your body is allowed to have fun while you're working toward your goals.
Because summer isn't about having the "perfect" body.
It's about sand-coated dump trucks, scraped knees from the splash pad, chasing little feet across the playground, screaming when the water is colder than you expected, and applying the 18th layer of sunscreen while your kids beg for "just five more minutes."
It's about being in the memories, not sitting on the sidelines waiting until you feel worthy enough to make them.
Health isn't waiting to live your life until you're "perfect."
It's living it right now. πŸ’›β˜€οΈ

πŸ“š Staying qualified isn't a one-and-done thing.

This week, I renewed my Nutrition Coach certification.

Not because a piece of paper magically makes someone a good coach.

But because the health and fitness industry is full of outdated information, trends, and people giving advice without the education to back it up.

When you're trusting someone with your health, your pregnancy, your postpartum recovery, or your nutrition, you deserve to know they're committed to staying current and continuing their education.

That's one of the reasons I maintain my certifications and pursue additional training. Because my clients deserve a coach who takes their trust seriously.

Before hiring any health or fitness professional, ask questions:

βœ”οΈ What certifications do they hold?
βœ”οΈ Are those certifications accredited and recognized?
βœ”οΈ Do they maintain continuing education?
βœ”οΈ Can they explain why they recommend what they recommend?

Credentials aren't everything, but they do tell you whether someone has invested in learning their craft.

Thank you to everyone who trusts me to be part of their health and fitness journey. πŸ’™

Today is International Homebirth Day.
Birth looks different for every family, and every mother deserves informed choices, respectful care, and support throughout her journey.

For some families, homebirth offers comfort, familiarity, and a sense of empowerment. For others, a hospital or birth center is the right fit. The goal isn't one "perfect" birth experience. It's helping mothers make the best decision for themselves and their babies with evidence-based information and a trusted care team.

As a pre- and postnatal fitness coach, I'm continually inspired by the strength, resilience, and intuition of the moms I work with, regardless of where or how they give birth.

If you've experienced a homebirth and feel comfortable sharing, I'd love to hear one thing that made your experience meaningful in the comments. πŸ’•
