Meadowridge Library received a special visit on Friday from a group of 2nd grade students at Orchard Ridge Elementary School who were on a walk around the neighborhood to drop of baskets filled with pollinator seeds!
The students have been working hard to learn about pollinators over the past few weeks and they got the chance to share some of the pollinators they knew with one of our staff members during their visit, shouting out "Bees!" "Birds!" "Bats!" and more.
Each packet contains wildflower seeds and is beautifully decorated by hand by one of the students. Stop by to pick one up while they last and read the accompanying letter that shares more about the importance of conservation and the role pollinators play in our ecosystem!

It's Nature Everywhere Day!
This weekend (June 5-7) is an invitation for families to get outside and celebrate Madison's abundance of parks, trails, lakes, and rivers through programs and activities provided by the initiative's community partners.
At Madison Public Library, you can participate year-round by browsing our gardening book lists for all ages or checking out a Birding Backpack! See these resources, as well as a slew of fun programs like Pond Critter Exploration at Aldo Leopold Nature Center, a Nature Scavenger Hunt at the Madison Children's Museum, or a Sunset Birding excursion with MSCR-Madison School & Community Recreation at natureeverywheremadison.org/natureeverywhereday
