One of Madison's finest downtown summer traditions, the 16th Annual Classic Car Show will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026. This free event spans 6 blocks of State Street in Downtown Madison.

This is a family friendly event that offers an opportunity to see cars from across the decades and talk directly with the car owners. Car enthusiasts can also explore the histories and unique characteristics of the classic cars.

Discover the rich history and untold stories of Wisconsin’s capital city as you journey through the streets of downtown Madison on this walking tour this Wednesday (4/23/26) at 5pm!

Explore the historic Wisconsin Capitol Square and visit the former site of the American House, a modest hotel where state officials stayed during Madison’s earliest legislative sessions.

Throughout the tour, your guide will discuss the various ways that generations of residents have viewed and shaped the landscape, revealing the many layers of our capital’s past—from its earliest inhabitants to its emergence and establishment as a thriving, modern city.
